Why can’t I purchase GIB board, compounds, or trims online?
GIB® board, compounds, and metal trims require specialised freight. Delivery costs vary depending on factors such as your location, nearest depot, order size, site access, and whether equipment like a tail lift or Hiab is needed.
Because freight isn’t one-size-fits-all, we don’t offer these products for direct online checkout. This ensures you receive accurate pricing and the right delivery solution for your job.
Good news is we arrange board and compound deliveries across New Zealand every single day! Simply contact your nearest NZCDS branch and our team will organise everything for you.
Do you offer free delivery?
Yes we do. If you’re within the Auckland or Canterbury metropolitan areas, orders of board, compounds, and metals over $500 (excl. GST) qualify for free delivery to your job site or home. T&Cs apply.
Can you deliver direct to a job-site?
Sure can!
How quickly can you arrange a delivery?
In most cases, we can arrange compound & board delivery for Auckland & Christchurch customers within the next couple of business days, depending on stock availability and current demand. If the product is in stock at your nearest branch, we’ll work to get it out to you as quickly as possible.
For deliveries outside these areas, freight timeframes may vary slightly depending on the carrier and distance, but we’ll always confirm an estimated delivery timeframe when quoting your order.
Why does pricing change when I log in?
When you are logged out, our website displays standard cash pricing.
When you log in with a trade account, your trade pricing will automatically display across the website. This allows approved trade customers to see their specific pricing online.
How do I apply for a trade account?
Applying for a trade account is quick and easy:
1. Complete the online trade application form
2. Your local branch manager will review your application.
3. Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email and can log in to access your trade pricing online.
Do you offer credit accounts?
Yes. Approved trade customers can apply for a credit account with NZCDS.
To apply, simply complete the credit application form and return it to us with the required identification. All credit accounts are subject to approval and standard terms.
Is pricing GST inclusive or exclusive?
Pricing on our website is displayed excluding GST, as our primary customers are trade professionals. GST inclusive pricing is displayed in brackets when you click on a product, and is also shown on checkout.
GST will be clearly calculated and added at checkout.
Can I get pallet or box rates on products?
Yes, NZCDS offers discounted pallet and bulk box rates on a wide range of products.
This commonly includes compounds by the pallet as well as bulk boxes of tapes, screws, and glues. If you’re buying in volume, our team can usually offer sharper pricing.
For pallet quantities or bulk orders, contact your nearest NZCDS branch and we’ll provide a competitive quote based on the products and quantities you need.
Why can’t I see stock levels for each branch?
Our website displays combined inventory across our locations, rather than stock levels for each individual branch. This helps give a clearer indication of overall availability.
If you need to confirm stock at a specific branch, please contact your nearest NZCDS store and our team will be happy to check for you.
Can I check stock before coming in?
Yes, we recommend contacting your nearest NZCDS branch before visiting if you need to confirm stock availability.
Our team can quickly check current inventory and let you know if the item is available or arrange to have it ready for collection. You can find the contact details for each branch here.
What happens if something is out of stock?
If an item is temporarily out of stock, our team can often order it in or arrange a transfer from another branch.
Contact your nearest NZCDS store and we’ll let you know the expected availability and organise the best solution for you.
Why is my order being shipped from a different branch?
NZCDS operates multiple branches across New Zealand. If an item isn’t available at your nearest branch, we may ship it from another location where stock is available to help get your order to you faster.
This means some orders may be fulfilled from a different branch depending on stock availability at the time of purchase. Our team will always aim to arrange the most efficient solution for your order.
